Darling, I love you

We spend a lot of time contemplating our animal companions and animals we meet. What are they thinking? Have they had a good day? Are they happy? most of the time I find myself just watching them with pure love at their innocence, and, sometimes even I find myself envious of their presence in the moment. In my regular search for beauty in words I stumbled across this book, which is now winging its way to me.

Seems to me we should all spend more time quietly pondering the way of animals as they move through life with effortless grace and acceptance and beauty.

“Pet owners will chuckle knowingly about the way the speakers shift between simple observations and deeper statements . . . that remind us why humans need animals as much as they need us.” — The Washington Post
